Summerhouse Day Program
Our Summerhouse program’s design is based on Sequoyah’s progressive philosophy and social-emotional learning curriculum.
- A nurturing community that encourages and supports upstanding and environmentalism
- An inter-age blend of students
- An open framework with a wide range of activities open throughout the day
- Empowering and engaging learning opportunities
- Sustained, goal-oriented projects
- Morning and afternoon snacks provided
- One-week blocks, students may attend any or all blocks

If you change your plans:
You won’t owe the second half of the fees, but you will forfeit your deposit.
If you cannot attend because of COVID infection:
Your deposit and fees will be refunded. A doctor’s note or positive test will be required for the purposes of contact tracing.
If Summerhouse closes because of COVID:
Your deposit and fees will be refunded.

Crew-In-Training Program
Train and work with Summerhouse Crew.
Summerhouse Crew-In-Training (CIT) is a leadership program offering an opportunity for students to expand their understanding of responsibility, as well as their sense of self, as part of a working team. Participants will learn lifelong skills like conflict mediation and First Aid/CPR, and grow through real job experience working with Summerhouse Crew.
Our CIT Program includes a week-long training intensive (mandatory) followed by two weeks of hands-on work experience.

Mandatory Training Week: June 13–17, 2022
Session Weeks*: June 21–August 12, 2022
Tuition*
5-Day Weeks: $210/week
4-Day Holiday Weeks: $168/week

Is the CIT program a good fit for my child?
and commit to the requirements
- Commit to attending the mandatory training week which includes training in First Aid, Conflict Mediation, and Trauma-Informed Counseling
- Commit to working for a minimum of two weeks
- Commit to working a consistent shift (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
- Help students with COVID safety by reinforcing the guidelines and leading by example
- Escorting Summerhouse Kids during pickup and drop-off
- Assist in leading Summerhouse activities (CITs will only help supervise children alongside Crew members, never alone.)
- Help develop activities
- Model how to maintain a clean campus
- Model Sequoyah’s Habits of Mind
Admission to the CIT program is contingent upon the staff’s determination of whether an applicant is up to the tasks and requirements. If not accepted, students can reapply the following year.
