Summerhouse offers a 9-week Day Program

Open Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with a drop-in schedule.
Ages 5-15 (as of 9/1/2017)

3-week sessions – MWF 2-hour classes and TTh 2.5-hour classes

Summerhouse Day Program

Cook, learn, laugh, dance, and find your unique intelligence through play.

An open framework of daily activity choices offers myriad opportunities for learning and exploration, including sustained, goal-oriented projects.

  • Summerhouse groups of 8-10 students are paired with their own Crew member.
  • Circles – morning and afternoon gatherings to share songs, present work, and play games
  • Free-choice activities open throughout the day
  • Sustained goal-oriented projects
  • Weekly travel days
  • Morning and afternoon snacks provided
  • Flexible drop-in schedule

Summerhouse Day Program Passes

Our flexible drop-in schedule conveniently allows you to choose which days your child attends. Summerhouse can flow with daily your schedule, work around your vacation plans, and not impact your impromptu beach days.

Buy and use Day Program Passes for just the days your child attends. Purchase passes online at any time after you register. The more you purchase at one time, the less the cost per day.

Summer Walks

Explore our city, discovering
its hidden gems.

On our weekly travel days, we will explore Pasadena’s museums, Eaton Canyon, Arlington Gardens, the Pasadena Library, the Gamble House, and more!

  • Half-day trips
  • Local walking and Metro trips
  • Included in our Day Program day passes

Summer Classes

Build, create, innovate, and collaborate.

From astrology to skateboarding – our engaging three-week classes and one-week intensives are designed to challenge the minds of our older students with a creative approach to academics.

  • Designed for students ages 9 to 15 (as of 9/1/2017)
  • Extended class periods allow for deep summer learning
  • Three 3-week course sessions:
    MWF 2-hour classes
    TTh 2.5-hour sessions
  • Five-day intensives – 6 hours per day for 5 days; some offered as full three-week sessions.
